Ramen is one of the dishes that defines Japanese food culture. Ramen EXPO gathers 60 shops hand-picked from every corner of Japan in one place — Expo '70 Park in Suita, Osaka — so that visitors from Japan and abroad can taste bowls from Hokkaido to Kyushu in a single trip. Ramen Kudo (Kishibe), make noodle Kashigu (Esaka), Ramen Core-Core (Esaka) and Menbo Buta Craft (Esaka) have their home restaurant in Suita, and Mannen has a branch by JR Senrioka station about 3 km from the park. Festival bowls are small; at the shop you get the full-size version.

FAQ
Will the same shops come in 2026?
The line-up changes every year. Some 2025 shops may return, but the 2026 list has not been announced yet.
The bowls look small — is that the real portion?
Yes. Festival bowls are smaller than a normal restaurant serving (about half to two-thirds), sized so you can compare several shops.
Is there ramen without pork?
Chicken-paitan, seafood and beef-bone shops often have pork-free broth, but most still use pork chashu as a topping. Always check at the stall. Nothing at the festival is halal-certified.
How do I read the Japanese banners?
Look for these words: 醤油 shoyu, 塩 shio, 味噌 miso, 豚骨 tonkotsu, 鶏白湯 chicken paitan, 辛 spicy, 魚介 seafood, 蟹 crab. Our cards above use the same tags. The full list, with photos, is in our ramen glossary.
